4-channel protocol:

This protocol is not a part of the standard TAG Sync protocols. It is however theoretically possible to do synchrony training over many channels (perhaps covering the whole head) and the Q-wiz is capable of using 4 channels.

Users report that producing synchrony over more channels is a bit more difficult, but could potentially also give more powerful effects in training.

This guide is written to allow people to modify their existing 2-channel designs into a 4-channel design.

1. Open the design called: TAGx2 MONx1 AUDIO - MP3 Vol Hi-Lo

2. Select window in the main bioexplorer tab and choose the signal diagram.

3. Select design and then add design, choose source and press add two times (you will see source 3 and source 4 in the signal diagram, place them in an appropriate place in the diagram, perhaps below source 1 and 2).

4. Right click on source 3, select properties, then choose PN Wiz channel 3 (probably with COM3), repeat for source 4 but choose channel 4.

5. Select design, add object, bandpass filter and add twice. Right click one of the filters and select properties, set the frequency range to 1-60Hz, repeat on the other filter.

6. Click and drag from the green button on Source 3, drag the arrow to "In" on one of the bandpass filters, repeat for source 4 on the second bandpass filter.

7. Click and drag from the green "Signal" button on one of the bandpass filters, drag the arrow to "In3" on Expression 1, repeat for the other source bandpass filter but drag to "In4" on Expression 1.

8. Right click Expression 1 and select properties, in the expression tab make sure it says In1+In2+In3+In4 (to make it add 4 signals instead of just 2). That should be enough to get the reward signals working, you will probably need to add inhibits as well but it should be possible to use the protocol like this if you dont want to spend more time in editing the protocol (inhibits can take more time). It is highly recommended to also use inhibits of course.
